Architectural lighting is what gives a house presence at night. Good facade lighting is a study in restraint. The instinct is to light everything; the result is a flat, overexposed wall with no depth. We light the elements that carry the architecture — the peaks, the columns, the material changes, the entry — and deliberately leave the spaces between them darker. That contrast is what creates dimension. We also match beam spread to the surface: a narrow spot to carry light up a two-story column, a wide flood to wash a broad stucco wall evenly, and shielded fixtures wherever a beam might otherwise hit a window or a neighbor's property.

Where you place a facade fixture changes everything about the result. Set close to the wall, a fixture grazes — light rakes across the surface at a shallow angle and every joint, seam, and stone face casts a small shadow, which is what makes texture read. Set farther back, the same fixture washes — light hits closer to straight on and the surface flattens into an even field. Neither is right in the abstract; the material decides. Getting this wrong is why so many facade jobs look either harsh or washed out.

How We Work
Free Design Consultation
We walk your property with you, talk through what you want the space to feel like after dark, and note the trees, architecture, and pathways worth lighting — no pressure, no obligation.
Your Lighting Plan
We put the design on paper fixture by fixture — what gets lit, from where, with which beam spread — and price it as a fixed proposal. Nothing is ordered and no deposit is taken until you've approved it.
Clean, Low-Voltage Install
Our crews hand-dig and tuck 12-volt cable below grade, set transformers discreetly, and mount solid brass and copper fixtures — with your lawn and beds left the way we found them.
Night Aiming & Ongoing Care
We return after dark to aim every fixture by eye, set your timer or app schedule, and walk the finished system with you — then keep it dialed in with optional annual maintenance.
