Landscape Lighting Repair in Newberg, OR
Newberg repair work is shaped by distance. On larger rural and vineyard properties, long cable runs are often the problem — undersized cable or a single long circuit leaves the furthest fixtures dim, and every connection along the way is another place for water to get in. In town, the faults are the familiar ones: aging connectors, damaged cable and tired transformers.
Newberg is at the edge of our regular service area, so we confirm scheduling and any travel up front. Once we're there, we test the whole system with a meter and give you a plain answer on what's needed.
Local Know-How
What Matters in Newberg
Dim fixtures on long runs
On big properties, voltage drop is the usual cause of dim, yellow light at the far end. Re-running or splitting the circuit fixes it; new bulbs don't.
Many connections, many risks
Long runs have more splices. We find the ones letting water in and replace them with sealed, burial-rated connectors.
Upfront about travel
Because Newberg is at the edge of our service area, we confirm scheduling and travel before booking, so there are no surprises.
Reviews
What Homeowners Say
“Other quotes were a fixture count on paper. These guys walked the yard, explained what each light was doing and why, and the plan matched what we got.”
Landscape & Garden Lighting

Lake Oswego
“Our 1912 Craftsman vanished after dark. They lit the columns and the gable and left everything between them dark. The contrast is the whole thing.”
Architectural & Facade Lighting
Jennifer L.
Irvington, Portland
“Steep lot, and the walk down was dangerous in the wet. Staggered path lights plus lights in the step risers — fewer fixtures than we were quoted elsewhere, better result.”
Path & Walkway Lighting

“Half our system had been dark for two years. They found it in twenty minutes — corroded connectors — and told me the transformer was fine. Could have sold me a new one.”

Lighting Repair & Maintenance

How It Works
From Consultation to Installed
Free Design Consultation
We walk your property with you, talk through what you want the space to feel like after dark, and note the trees, architecture, and pathways worth lighting — no pressure, no obligation.
Your Lighting Plan
We put the design on paper fixture by fixture — what gets lit, from where, with which beam spread — and price it as a fixed proposal. Nothing is ordered and no deposit is taken until you've approved it.
Clean, Low-Voltage Install
Our crews hand-dig and tuck 12-volt cable below grade, set transformers discreetly, and mount solid brass and copper fixtures — with your lawn and beds left the way we found them.
Night Aiming & Ongoing Care
We return after dark to aim every fixture by eye, set your timer or app schedule, and walk the finished system with you — then keep it dialed in with optional annual maintenance.
Questions
Lighting Repair in Newberg: FAQ
Why are the lights at the far end of my Newberg property so dim?
On long rural runs it's almost always voltage drop — the cable is too light for the distance, or too many fixtures share one circuit. We measure the voltage along the run and fix it by re-running or splitting the circuit, which brings the far fixtures back to full brightness.
Can you service a system another company installed?
Yes — that's a large part of what we do. We'll assess whatever's there regardless of who put it in, tell you what's failing and why, and give you options. No obligation to have us rebuild anything.
Why did part of my system go dark?
Most often a failed connector, a lamp at end of life, or voltage drop on an overlong run. Less often a failed transformer or water in a fixture. A section going dark together usually points to one connection upstream, which is exactly the sort of thing a meter finds in minutes and guesswork doesn't.
My lights look dim at the far end of the run. Why?
Voltage drop — the far fixtures aren't receiving enough voltage because the cable is too long, too thin, or too heavily loaded for a single run. Fixes range from re-tapping to a higher transformer voltage terminal, to splitting the run, to re-cabling that leg. We'll measure the actual voltage at the fixture and size the fix to it.
How often should outdoor lighting be maintained?
An annual visit suits most Portland-area systems. Plants grow fast here, moss and debris cloud lenses, and fixtures drift out of aim over a season. Yearly service to re-aim, clean, check connections, and adjust the timer keeps a system looking like it did the week it was installed.
